Jen graduated cum laude from the Ohio State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. While at Ohio State, Jen was an active member of the Student- Alumni Council, and was inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the journalism and mass communication honorary society.

Following her graduation from the Ohio State University, Jen attended Capital University Law School as an evening student. She joined Decker Vonau in 2003 and worked full-time as a law clerk at the firm while attending law school. Also during her law school career, Jen spent a semester as a student extern for the Ohio Department of Commerce- Real Estate Division.

Jen received her Juris Doctor from Capital in 2006, again graduating cum laude. She is a member of the Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations and practices predominantly in the areas of probate and business law.

A Cincinnati native, Jen now lives on the Northeast side of Columbus, and while she refuses to choose between the Bengals and the Browns, she never misses an opportunity to see her beloved Buckeyes in action.
