  A native of Toledo, Jim graduated from the University of Toledo in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, cum laude, as well as being inducted into the business honorary society Beta Gamma Sigma, and the accounting honorary society, Beta Alpha Psi.  Jim obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1984.   

Jim’s extensive general business practice includes business entity formation, operation, transactions, shareholder disputes; wills and trusts, estate planning, and probate; residential and commercial real estate; and general litigation.  After 14 years of experience in private practice, Jim affiliated his law practice with DVSL&V in March of 1998, and became a principal of the Firm in 2003.
 
Jim is a member of the Ohio State, Columbus, and Delaware County Bar Associations.  He holds membership in the Worthington Estate Planning Council.  Jim has served on the Board and as President of the Friends of the Grandview Heights Public Library for several years.
